Dance Competition

A couple of weekends ago (I know this post is late) I had my dance competition. Time again to put on the thick make-up and the mass destroyer of it all, the poof- a.k.a the snooky hair. However, I was super excited because one of my closest friends, Emma, came to the competition. So we did the whole competition. Dance, change into next costume, dance, change, dance, change, go out to eat and have people stare at you, and then finish with awards ceremony. A unique thing about this competition is I fell on my butt in the end of my contemporary performance. :( It was my first fall ever. I have to admit, it was pretty funny. I couldn't help but laugh about it!!!!! To add on to all of it, a girl got so sick she couldn't go on stage for our last dance so we had to rearrange a couple parts 5 minutes before we went on stage. At award we got the 3rd highest award for jazz and contemporary and the 2nd highest award for tap. Also, we got outstanding performance in tap and outstanding dance award for out division in all of our dances. Which, they only give out 6 of those awards and out team alone got 3!!!! We did really well. I was pretty proud!!!! Good job to Bunker Dance Center!!!!!

Me in the dressing room.

My supportive buddy and me!!!! :)

After I put on my red lip stick, I put on my chap stick and it sort of stained my chap stick.

Us warming up.

Looking fabulous. with two of my friends from a different team.

This is my favorite picture of the whole competition. We look so good!!!!

I was able to bring home the award temporarily. I couldn't resist the picture.

I know, I look like a zombie. I was so tired and this is me with all my make-up off and my hair brushed out. It took 2 days to get the Aqua Net smell out of my hair.

Easter Sunday

I know, I am late on this blog post. I have been super super busy. Late happy Easter though. This Easter was great. To be honest, I never get tired of seeing my little brother so excited for things like the Easter bunny. Even if he did wake us up at 6:30 a.m., I don't mind because I remember those days. I mean, we all do. I was too tired to be taking pictures, so these are my moms. I still need to show you how my Easter was.

Us lazily searching through out Easter baskets.

Ok, I don't want to show you any close ups of my face because my hair is a mess and I have bags under my eyes. So, you will see this amazing picture of me in my Shamo slippers from sea world looking for eggs.

This is me in my Easter dress. Best dress ever.

Vacation in Sedona

For Spring Break, my family went on a little overnight vacation to Sedona, Arizona. It's this beautiful place with neat red rock formations and green trees spotted throughout the town. It's a lovely place that I enjoyed. I couldn't resist bringing my camera to take lots of pictures of this place.

We first went into this store with all this neat stuff. The ceiling was full of these.

We found these old signs. They were sort of cool, but I couldn't help but smile with the one on the left.

If anybody knows about Sedona, you know it apparently is a really spiritual place. So, you find all these crazy things like this.

Throughout this store, you see these vintage metal signs. There was a whole wall filled with them and I couldn't resist doing a black and white picture of them.

Ok, a major reason Sedona is apparently spiritual is because there is a whole bunch of Vortexes throughout Sedona. If you don't know what a vortex is (we didn't either, we had to look it up) it is a whirling mass or rotary motion in a liquid, gas, flame, etc, such as the spiralling movement of water around a whirlpool. In this case, it is a big magnetic pull. Apparently, that is where you can get spiritual enlightenment. In this little store, they claimed there was a vortex there. We couldn't resist and instantly went under it to receive spiritual enlightenment. For the rest of the day we cracked jokes about the vortex.

More vintage bottles.

We went inside this crazy toy store and couldn't resist the temptation of playing with alllll these toys.

Outside this building there were these chimes. Let me just say, it feels great to hit things without anyone telling you to stop!!!!

Ok, there is this big thing about spirit stones. Austin wanted one for his ACTs. We found the spirit stone that helps you with that. He said he had to pick wisely so this is him feeling around for the best spirit stone.

This is apparently what the spirit stone he picked does.

Outside this cowboy shop was this old robotic guy waving hi. He was beat up and everything. I took a picture with him, of course. Don't mess, he's my man.

We were a little sceptical of the last vortex we found. So we found a legit one. It is on top of this rock, but you can still feel it's really peaceful vibes from over a half of a mile away. ;)

Ian meditated..........

Austin meditated........(that's him on the top)

It was a fun vacation and I enjoyed it!!!!

Science Project Fun

Today I sadly had Spring Break homework. :( However, that homework happened to be with a friend. We had to do a chain reaction together. Obviously, we had a little fun and decided to take some pictures together. It is defiantly blog worthy. We had a fun time and yes we did get the project done.

This is only a few of our stuff for the chain reaction.  Yes, we did do a diet coke and mentoes explosion. I ended up eating a lot of mentoes................

Part of the reaction.

We were soooooooo happy it worked we couldn't help but capture the moment.

General Conference

This weekend, our church was given the wonderful opportunity to listen to General Conference. For any nonmembers, General Conference is a chance to listen to the leaders of our church. I really enjoyed general conference this year. I feel as I get older I can listen and apply the gospel topics more to my life. Therefore, I decided to share with you my top three favorite talks.

Elder Lary Y. Wilson's talk on Families. I really enjoyed this talk and it made me want to strengthen family ties. It also helped me with developing that mother-like attribute. If you want to listen to it click this link: http://www.lds.org/general-conference/watch/2012/04?lang=eng&vid=1542491649001&cid=7

Next, I enjoyed President Dieter F. Utchdorfs talk on forgiveness and being kind to one another. It really was about out time. You can see it here: http://www.lds.org/general-conference/watch/2012/04?lang=eng&vid=1541950013001&cid=4

Lastly, I always enjoy the Young Women's broadcast. One talk I really enjoyed in it was President Monsons. It talked about three important things and being a lighthouse. You can watch it here: http://www.lds.org/general-conference/watch/2012/04?lang=eng&vid=1528341951001&cid=1

If you want to know what to do with those talks to get the most out of them click here: https://www.lds.org/youth/article/getting-the-most-out-of-conference?lang=eng

Spring Failure

It finally feels like Spring is in the air. So..........to celebrate I of course attempted to take pictures of Ian and I jumping in the air with a stuffed bunny and Tulips in our hands. However, it was an ATTEMPT. Since this blog is about my life, I had to post it even if it was a failure. Anybody close with me, knows that this frustrated me a lot to have this idea fail. I have done successful jumping pictures various of times and it has worked. For some odd reason, this was not my camera day. My camera is stupid though.......whatever. Here is my Spring Failure. Note: we were suppose to be jumping and in the air.

It started out strong with Ian and me together. Fail.

Then Ian dropped out and I was left with me. This has to be the best picture of the whole set, though.

I tried again......

And again...........

Eventually I gave up and ended up eating pre-Easter candy.
